WASHINGTON COUNTY HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK

 This hazardous weather outlook is for northeast and north central Colorado.  .DAY ONE...Today and Tonight  The plains and urban corridor will see critical fire weather conditions return, under very windy and dry conditions. West winds will gust 40-50 mph for most areas from mid morning through the afternoon.  In the mountains, snow showers will increase throughout the day. Accumulations will be mostly light before snow picks up tonight, but combined with breezy conditions at pass level, will likely lead to slick travel at times along with blowing snow.  .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Tuesday through Sunday  Snow will continue in the north central Colorado mountains into Tuesday, decreasing in the afternoon and ending Tuesday night. Storm total snowfall will be 10 to 20 inches over the higher mountains, with 3 to 6 inches in the valleys and higher foothills. Snow will spread onto the plains Tuesday behind a strong cold front. Most places on the plains will receive less than two inches of snow, though localized higher amounts are possible near the foothills and south of Denver. There could be limited travel impacts in the late afternoon and early evening as temperatures drop below freezing.  .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...  Snowfall reports will be appreciated.
