WASHINGTON COUNTY HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK

 This hazardous weather outlook is for northeast and north central Colorado.  .DAY ONE...Today and Tonight  Snow, heavy at times, will continue in the mountains, foothills, Denver metro, and across the Palmer Divide through early this evening. Total snow accumulations of 6 to 15 inches are expected in the higher elevations, with as much as 3 to 7 inches of snow possible in portions of Denver. Snow will gradually taper off late this evening and overnight, diminishing first in the foothills and adjacent plains. Avoid travel in these areas today and this evening if possible. If you must travel, be prepared for rapidly changing, hazardous and difficult travel conditions.  Mostly rain can be expected on the plains east of the I-25 Urban Corridor.  .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Sunday through Friday  A mixture of rain and snow will linger over portions of the northeast plains Sunday with areas of light snow in the mountains. Dry conditions are expected Monday and Tuesday with warming temperatures. The next storm will bring precipitation back to the forecast area Wednesday and Thursday, with the best chance in the mountains. Snow showers should linger in the mountains on Friday.  .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...  Snowfall reports from spotters will be appreciated.
