WASHINGTON COUNTY HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK

 ...HEAVY SNOW AND DIFFICULT TRAVEL CONDITIONS MOUNTAINS, FOOTHILLS, AND PALMER DIVIDE THROUGH THIS EVENING...AND POTENTIALLY FOR METRO DENVER AS WELL...  This hazardous weather outlook is for northeast and north central Colorado.  .DAY ONE...Today and Tonight  Snow, heavy at times, will continue in the mountains, foothills, and across the Palmer Divide through early this evening. Total snow accumulations of 6 to 15 inches are expected. Snow will gradually taper off late this evening and overnight, diminishing first in the foothills. Avoid travel in these areas today and this evening if possible. If you must travel, be prepared for hazardous and difficult travel conditions.  Rain and snow will spread across the I-25 Corridor from Denver metro to Fort Collins, changing to more if not all snow in Denver metro this afternoon. This snow may be heavy, with hazardous travel conditions expected soon after the rain changes to snow and becomes heavy toward the noon hour. While snow totals are still uncertain, be prepared for suddenly changing weather and slick and slushy travel conditions. Several inches will be possible especially in the western and southern suburbs of Denver.  Mostly rain can be expected on the plains east of the I-25 Urban Corridor.  .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Sunday through Friday  A mixture of rain and snow will linger over portions of the northeast plains Sunday morning with areas of light snow in the mountains.  Mainly dry conditions will occur from Monday into Tuesday with a warming trend. More snow will be possible in the mountains by mid week.  .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...
