WASHINGTON COUNTY HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK

 ...BITTER COLD AND DANGEROUSLY COLD WIND CHILLS CONTINUE ACROSS THE PLAINS... ...WINTER STORM WARNING CONTINUES IN THE MOUNTAINS THROUGH 5 PM SUNDAY...  This hazardous weather outlook is for northeast and north central Colorado.  .DAY ONE...Today and Tonight  Dangerously cold wind chills continue today as cold air coupled with brisk northwest winds 10 to 25 mph produce wind chill readings as low as 40 below zero across the plains.  For the mountains, light snow today will be accompanied by very strong winds above timberline. Peak wind gusts from 65 to 80 mph can be expected. The magnitude of the gusts will decrease a bit tonight but will still be an issue above timberline. In addition, the snow will increase in the mountains as well and continue into Sunday, accompanied by peak wind gusts to 65 mph. Be prepared for winter driving conditions, postpone or delay travel if possible.  .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Sunday through Friday  Periods of moderate to heavy snowfall will occur in the mountains Sunday into Monday with light to moderate snow in the valleys. Light snow will be possible across portions of the plains on Sunday. A better chance of light snow will occur on Monday across the plains.  Frigid conditions will Sunday through Tuesday morning, as low temperatures drop well below zero. Wind chill readings during this period will be dangerously cold, with frostbite potential on exposed skin in as little as 10 minutes. Temperatures will begin to moderate across the plains by Tuesday afternoon into Wednesday. Another round of snow for the mountains later Wednesday into Thursday.  .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...
