This hazardous weather outlook is for northeast and north central Colorado. .DAY ONE...Today and Tonight Freezing fog and freezing drizzle is expected across the northeast plains from Fort Collins to Hudson and to the CO/NE border. This may create slick or icy roads, especially bridges, during the morning commute. This afternoon through tonight, light snow will spread across the southern portion of our forecast area. The Palmer Divide and higher mountain ridges will see 1-4 inches of snow. Less than an inch of snow is expected from Denver northward to the Wyoming border. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Friday through Wednesday A weak system will bring light snow mainly to the mountains Friday into Saturday morning, with minor accumulations expected. The next storm could bring a more substantial snowfall to the forecast area later Sunday into Monday of next week, but it is still too early to tell. Winter driving conditions will linger around much of the time, especially in the mountains, so be prepared. Highest potential for several inches of snow outside of the mountains will be for the southern foothills and Palmer Divide. Another system may impact the region beginning Wednesday, but details remain uncertain. .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT... Spotter activation will not be needed today or tonight.
