WASHINGTON COUNTY HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK

 ...Winter Storm Watch for the east central Plains from 8 pm this evening through 11 am on Sunday...  This hazardous weather outlook is for northeast and north central Colorado.  .DAY ONE...Today and Tonight  A storm system will move into the region later today and track across eastern Colorado tonight.  This system will bring the potential for a brief period of heavier snow across the east central plains overnight. In addition, gusty north winds 35 to to 50 mph will develop behind a cold front which will produce areas of areas of blowing snow and poor visibility across portions of the plains and Palmer Divide mainly after midnight.  Elsewhere snow will spread from the mountains across the rest of the area by this evening.  Overall snow accumulations will be light to moderate with the higher amounts over mountains, southern foothills and Palmer Divide.  .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Sunday through Friday  Light snow will continue over the plains Sunday morning, then it should be ending Sunday afternoon. Accumulations will be light. Gusty winds will cause blowing snow and winter driving conditions over the eastern plains SUnday into Sunday night. Light snow showers will linger Sunday and SUnday night over mountains.  There is a chance of snow over the northeast corner Monday night otherwise the plains look dry through Friday. There may be a few snow showers over the high mountains through the week but nothing significant.  .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...  Spotter activation will not be needed today or tonight.
