WASHINGTON COUNTY HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK

  This hazardous weather outlook is for northeast and north central Colorado.  .DAY ONE...Today and Tonight  Dry and warm weather will prevail. Only an isolated shower or two will be possible in the mountains this afternoon, and then again overnight.  .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Wednesday through Monday  A weather system will impact the area Wednesday and Thursday. Rain and snow showers will develop over the mountains by Wednesday afternoon, with snow Wednesday night into Thursday. The snow will be light in most areas, but heavier accumulations are possible in the higher mountains north of Interstate 70. On the plains, rain showers are likely Wednesday night into Thursday, then rain will decrease from west to east Thursday night. Significant rainfall is possible in areas near the northern Colorado border, with only light amounts expected south of Interstate 70. There may be a dusting of snow Thursday night in Douglas and Elbert counties above 6000 feet and along the northern Colorado border.  Strong winds with gusts up to 60 mph are also possible on the plains and over the highest elevations of the Front Range mountains on Thursday, decreasing from west to east Thursday night and Friday.  Freezing temperatures are likely by late Thursday night and then again Friday night over most of northeast Colorado.  .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...
