WASHINGTON COUNTY HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK

 This hazardous weather outlook is for northeast and north central Colorado.  .DAY ONE...Today and Tonight  A few severe thunderstorms will be possible over the plains this afternoon into the early evening hours. Large hail up to 2 inches in diameter along with wind gusts to 65 mph will be the main threat from the storms.  Otherwise, scattered showers and thunderstorms are expected this afternoon and evening. Brief heavy rain, small hail along with wind gusts to 50 mph will be possible.  .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Tuesday through Sunday  Scattered storms and showers are possible late Tuesday afternoon into late Tuesday evening. Storms may become severe by Tuesday evening across the plains. Large hail, brief heavy rainfall and damaging winds could occur.  Wednesday, a brief dry period will occur. Afternoon thunderstorm chances increase Thursday through this weekend mainly for the higher elevations.  .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...  Spotter activation will not be needed today or tonight but reports of severe weather would be appreciated.
