...SEVERE STORM THREAT TODAY THROUGH SATURDAY... This hazardous weather outlook is for northeast and north central Colorado. .DAY ONE...Today and Tonight There is patchy, dense fog this morning, and we maintain our Dense Fog Advisory for the plains adjacent to the foothills, including the entire urban corridor north of the Palmer Divide, east to the edge of Weld County and just past DIA, valid through 15Z. There may also be some in Park County, but there are fewer observations there and we have kept it out of the advisory so far. There will be another round of scattered to widespread storms and showers this afternoon and evening. There is a significant probability of all major hazards (damaging wind, large hail, and tornadoes) for most of northeast Colorado this afternoon and evening. The greatest threat is to our southern plains, which includes the greater Denver metro area. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Friday through Wednesday Scattered afternoon and evening thunderstorms, some severe, can be expected both Friday and Saturday. On Friday, the higher threat for severe storms will be over the Palmer Divide area into Lincoln County. On Saturday, a greater threat and more numerous severe storms may occur across the I-25 Corridor and plains, when very large and damaging hail will be possible. A tornado can't be ruled out either. We'll transition to dry weather for Sunday through early next week, although an isolated severe storm or two will still be possible over the northeast corner of the state. .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT... Spotter activation will likely be required after 2 pm this afternoon.
