This hazardous weather outlook is for northeast and north central Colorado. .DAY ONE...Today and Tonight Critical fire conditions will continue over eastern Elbert and Lincoln counties this afternoon due to gusty winds and low humidity. Elsewhere there will be a chance of showers and a few thunderstorms mainly across the higher terrain. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Sunday through Friday On Sunday and Monday there will be weak showers and storms that develop mainly in the late afternoon through the evening. These will not produce much precipitation so the burn area flash flood threat is very low. Isolated storms will also be possible on Tuesday with the far northeast corner of Colorado seeing the best chance for storms. An upper level disturbance will move across the area on Wednesday through Friday bringing a good chance for precipitation. Strong to severe storms will be possible on Wednesday with hail and strong wind gusts the primary threats. Heavy rain across the plains and mountain snow will be possible on Thursday and Friday. .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT... Spotter activation will not be needed today or tonight.
