This hazardous weather outlook is for northeast and north central Colorado. .DAY ONE...Today and Tonight There will be a brief "lull" or decrease in showers this morning over the mountains. Some impacts may exist due to snow covered roads and areas of blowing snow in the mountains. Scattered showers increase over the mountains by this afternoon. Given the instability, can't rule out a band that may contain brief moderate to even heavy rates, but location is less certain. Showers push onto the plains in the afternoon through the evening. Snow may mix in later. No accumulation expected on plains, but mountains may see another 2-6 inches with localized higher amounts possible if a band sets up for a period. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Friday through Wednesday Another area of snow will spread from the mountains onto the plains late Friday, decreasing from west to east on Saturday. Light to moderate snowfall is expected in the mountains with some travel impacts. On the plains, most areas should see light snowfall, and some travel impact is possible mainly on Saturday morning. Cool weather with a chance of snow showers will continue Sunday and Monday, with the best chance of more snow on the plains Sunday night. Dry weather with a warming trend is expected for Tuesday and Wednesday. .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT... Spotter activation will not be needed today or tonight.
