WASHINGTON COUNTY HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK

 This hazardous weather outlook is for northeast and north central Colorado.  .DAY ONE...Today and Tonight  Light snow will occur across the western slopes of the mountains for much of the day. The Park Range mountains could see up to 5 inches of snow while the Front Range mountains could see up to 3 inches. Places like Rabbit Ears Pass and Cameron Pass will likely have poor road conditions. A few bands of light snow will move across the plains late this afternoon and evening. Accumulations are expected to be less than an inch on the plains but the roads could be slick in spots this evening.  .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Saturday through Thursday  After a dry Saturday, snow returns to the mountains Sunday and could spill over to the northern plains/Wyoming border area late Sunday. It will also be windy Sunday, which will produce areas of blowing snow in the mountains. Over the plains south of Interstate 70, the windy and dry conditions will increase the fire danger.  For next week, it will turn colder with periods of mountain snow. Snow will also likely spread onto the plains days. Snow may spread onto the plains at times, with the highest chance of accumulating snow toward Wednesday or Thursday.  .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...  Spotter activation will not be needed today.
