WASHINGTON COUNTY HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK

 ...WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 2 PM THIS AFTERNOON TO 5 PM MST MONDAY... ...HIGH WIND WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 5 PM MST THIS AFTERNOON THROUGH MONDAY MORNING...  This hazardous weather outlook is for northeast and north central Colorado.  .DAY ONE...Today and Tonight  The next system will bring strong winds across the mountains, foothills and adjacent plains and breezy winds across the area. We maintain our High Wind Watch for the foothills and adjacent plains from 5 PM this afternoon through 8 AM Monday morning. Peak gusts may reach up to 80 mph on the east slopes of the mountains and foothills and 60 mph on the plains. Expect generally 1 to 3 inches of snowfall accumulation across most of the high country. The Park Range should see greater totals of 6 to 12 inches, and the central Front Range mountains and the mountains of western Summit County generally 3 to 6 inches. Snowfall and strong winds will cause areas of blowing snow and travel impacts in the high country.  .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Monday through Saturday  Winds will gradually decrease on Monday, then redevelop again by Tuesday afternoon with gusts up to 40 mph on the plains and up to 60 mph over the higher mountains and east slopes. Periods of light snow will continue over the ridges, with a little snow possible in the valleys again Monday night and Tuesday.  Colder temperatures are expected late Wednesday into Thursday and light snow is likely.  .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...  Reports of high winds or wind damage will be appreciated.
