...Winter Storm Continues Today... This hazardous weather outlook is for northeast and north central Colorado. .DAY ONE...Today and Tonight Snow will continue over much of the region today before diminishing tonight. The heaviest snow will be over the Southern Front Range foothills and Palmer Divide region this morning then lighter snowfall by later this afternoon. Roadways will be icy and snowpacked today, especially along and south of Interstate 70. Additional snowfall will be 4 to 8 inches in the warning areas, with lesser amounts further north. Winds will also increase across the plains during the day, with a few gusts up to 50 mph possible, especially across Lincoln county. Snow and blowing snow will make travel difficult through the day and into the evening, especially across areas south and east of Denver. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Thursday through Tuesday Quiet weather is expected through most of the weekend. Snow chances will increase late Sunday through most of next week, especially across the northern mountains. .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT... Spotter activation will not be needed, however snowfall reports will be appreciated.
