WASHINGTON COUNTY HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK

 ...WINTER WEATHER TO CONTINUE THROUGH THIS EVENING...  This hazardous weather outlook is for northeast and north central Colorado.  .DAY ONE...Today and Tonight  Light to moderate snow will continue into the afternoon hours before diminishing by the evening across the I-25 corridor and higher terrain. The far northeast plains will have snow continuing well into the evening hours before diminishing after midnight. Travel will be difficult and slow going and many roads across the northeastern plains of Colorado are closed. Additional snowfall amounts of 1 to 3 inches are expected for the I-25 corridor. The far northeast plains will see up to 6 inches of additional snow. The northeast plains will also see areas of blowing and drifting snow.  .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Thursday through Tuesday  A weaker storm system will stay south of our area late Friday and Friday night with light snow in the mountains a chance of light snow possible across the plains, mainly south of Interstate 70. It will be dry on Saturday with cold unsettled weather (light snow in the mountains and a chance for snow on the plains) Sunday into the middle of next week.  .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...  Spotter activation will not be needed, though snowfall reports will be appreciated.
