Isolated lightning flashes are possible over parts of south Texas
and southeast Louisiana tonight.
…DISCUSSION…
An upper-level trough will move across the southern Plains tonight.
A vorticity maximum associated with the upper-level trough is
forecast to move across south Texas after midnight. Large-scale
ascent and mid-level moisture associated with this feature may be
enough for a few lightning strikes. Isolated lightning strikes may
also occur in far southeast Louisiana near a corridor of maximized
low-level moisture. Instability will remain weak in both of these
areas and no severe weather is expected tonight.
