A few thunderstorms may occur along the coast of northwest
California to Washington this afternoon and evening.
…Pacific Coast…
A progressive shortwave trough over the northeast Pacific should
reach the Washington to northern California coast by early evening.
As mid-level temperatures cool coincident with post-frontal
low-level flow becoming onshore, meager surface-based buoyancy
should develop along the immediate coast. Sporadic lightning flashes
are possible amid predominately low-topped scattered showers. This
hazard will diminish later tonight as mid-level temperatures warm.
