A vigorous shortwave trough will dig towards the OR/CA border along
the Pacific coast tonight into early Thursday. Robust forcing for
ascent and a period of mid-level cooling should support scant
elevated buoyancy. Sporadic lightning flashes are possible along the
western and southern periphery of a broader rain/snow swath
accompanying the trough.
