California and Arizona, although severe storms are not expected.

A closed low and peripheral strong polar jet will continue to spread
east-southeastward from near coastal southern California this
morning toward southern Arizona and northwest Mexico through
tonight. Convection will continue to be associated with an
inland-advancing frontal band across coastal SoCal, with isolated
lightning and some semi-organized storm structures remaining
possible early today within a minimally unstable environment
(reference 12Z NKX observed sounding). The potential for isolated
thunderstorms will reach southern Arizona by late this afternoon and
evening.
