…NO THUNDERSTORM AREAS FORECAST…
…SUMMARY…
Severe thunderstorms are not expected across the contiguous U.S.
through tonight.
…Discussion…
Convection continues to diminish/move offshore across south Florida,
with a few showers lingering near the Keys at this time. However,
with minimal risk for additional lightning, the 10% thunder area is
being removed at this time. Appreciable thunder risk is not
apparent across the U.S. the remainder of the period.

.PREV DISCUSSION… /ISSUED 1022 AM CST Sat Dec 14 2019/
…South FL…
Isolated thunderstorms will remain possible, mainly along a weakly
convergent pre-frontal confluence band that should progress east
across the remainder of the peninsula this afternoon. With veered
low-level flow nearly paralleling the confluence axis and relatively
warm 700-600 mb temperatures, convection should struggle to
appreciably intensify. An organized severe risk is not expected.
