YUMA COUNTY HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK

 This hazardous weather outlook is for extreme southwest Nebraska... northwest Kansas and east central Colorado.  .DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT...  A Flood Watch is in effect starting tonight. Heavy rainfall overnight and Wednesday morning will result in 1-2" of rainfall, with local amounts of 2-4" or higher possible. Highest confidence in heavy rainfall is in areas along and south of Interstate 70.  .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...WEDNESDAY THROUGH MONDAY...  The Flood Watch continues through the day on Wednesday and Thursday. Additional rounds of heavy rainfall are expected, which may result in flash flooding.  There is a marginal risk for severe thunderstorms Wednesday afternoon and evening. Stronger storms will be capable of producing hail up to quarter size and wind gusts of up to 60 mph.
