A Heat Advisory is in effect mainly along and south of a line from Oberlin, KS to Sharon Spring, KS this afternoon. Heat index values around 105 are forecast. These heat index values put additional stress on the body, especially the young and elderly. A thunderstorm or two is possible late this afternoon into the early evening hours, mainly west of the Kansas and Nebraska border. Strong wind gusts will be the primary hazard should storms form. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...WEDNESDAY THROUGH MONDAY... Near daily chances for at least isolated strong to severe storms through the majority of the upcoming week.
