YUMA COUNTY HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK

 This hazardous weather outlook is for extreme southwest Nebraska... northwest Kansas and east central Colorado.  .DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT...  A Heat Advisory is in effect for the entire area today. Temperatures are forecast to be in the 100s with heat index values in the mid to upper 100s. Heat related illnesses increase significantly during extreme heat events. Livestock may be stressed as well due to multiple days of triple digit heat.  An isolated severe storm is possible north of Interstate 70 this evening. If an isolated severe storm develops, wind gusts up to 65 mph are the main hazard.  .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...MONDAY THROUGH SATURDAY...  The Heat Advisory continues Monday in Northwest Kansas and Southwest Nebraska, where temperatures are forecast to be in the 100s with heat index values in the mid to upper 100s.  Severe storms are possible Monday afternoon and evening. Damaging wind gusts are the primary hazard. Impacts to trees, siding and crops are possible.  .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...
