YUMA COUNTY HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK

 This hazardous weather outlook is for extreme southwest Nebraska... northwest Kansas and east central Colorado.  .DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT...  A Heat Advisory is in effect for the entire area today. Temperatures are forecast to be in the 100s with heat index values in the mid to upper 100s. Heat related illnesses increase significantly during extreme heat events. Livestock may be stressed as well due to multiple days of triple digit heat.  An isolated severe storm is possible this evening, likely north of Interstate 70. If the severe storm does form, wind gusts up to 65 mph are possible.  .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...MONDAY THROUGH SATURDAY...  The Heat Advisory continues Monday in Northwest Kansas and Southwest Nebraska. Temperatures are forecast to be in the 100s with heat index values in the mid to upper 100s.  Severe weather may be possible on Monday across the area. Damaging wind gusts currently are the primary hazard. Impacts to trees, siding and crops may be possible.  .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...
