Today, there is a 5 to 10 percent chance for a few severe storms during the afternoon and evening hours for the entire area. Wind gusts up to 70 mph and hail up to one inch in diameter are possible. Blowing dust from the storms' winds may create localized brownout conditions. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...FRIDAY THROUGH WEDNESDAY... Severe thunderstorms will be possible the upcoming days. Friday night northwestern Kansas and southwestern Nebraska are at risk, Saturday is primarily in northwestern Kansas, and the entire area is at risk on Sunday. It is too early to say with confidence where the highest risk will be or timing details, but on Sunday supercells with large hail, severe wind gusts and a tornado threat will be possible.
