WASHINGTON COUNTY HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK

 This hazardous weather outlook is for northeast and north central Colorado.  .DAY ONE...Today and Tonight  Scattered showers and a couple thunderstorms can be expected across the area this afternoon and early evening. Cloud to ground lightning, gusty winds to around 35 mph, and a brief period of rain can be expected from any passing storms. There is a slight risk of a landspout late this afternoon depending on how warm temperatures get. That threat would be mainly along a convergence zone that is expected to develop in the vicinity from northern Douglas County to areas near or just southeast of Denver International Airport.  .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Saturday through Thursday  Saturday afternoon and early evening will feature another round of scattered showers and a few thunderstorms. Mainly light precipitation is expected, along with gusty winds and some lightning.  Elevated to critical fire weather conditions are expected to return for Sunday and Monday due to warmer, dry, and windier weather.  A higher chance of precipitation is still in the forecast for Tuesday or Tuesday night, but the chances of any significant rain or mountain snow are low.  .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...  Spotter activation is not anticipated today or tonight.
