YUMA COUNTY HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK

 This hazardous weather outlook is for extreme southwest Nebraska... northwest Kansas and east central Colorado.  .DAY ONE...THIS AFTERNOON AND TONIGHT...  Patchy freezing fog is forecast to develop tonight favoring locations along and east of Highway 25. There is a 20% chance of dense freezing fog with visibilities less than one half mile which would lead to ice formation on elevated surfaces resulting in loss of traction if traveling.  .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...THURSDAY THROUGH TUESDAY...  Along with lingering freezing fog Thursday morning, there is a 5-10 percent chance of freezing drizzle developing between 5 and 8am Central Time across southern Gove and Logan counties. If the drizzle were to develop then ice on roadways and sidewalks would be present impacting the morning commute.  Another round of very cold air is forecast to move into the area leading to the potential for wind chills around negative 15 degrees Friday night into Saturday morning mainly east of Highway 25.  .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...  Active weather across portions of the Tri-State Area is anticipated. Spotters are encouraged to report significant weather conditions.
