This hazardous weather outlook is for extreme southwest Nebraska... northwest Kansas and east central Colorado. .DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT... A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect until 11 PM MST tonight for northwest Kansas, where periods of light accumulating snow will continue into the afternoon. Hazardous travel conditions can be expected on any snow covered roads. This includes Interstate 70 between Kanorado and Quinter. Winds will remain light at 5 to 10 mph. Little or no blowing snow is expected. Bitter cold wind chill readings as low as 20 below zero are expected through Sunday morning. Use caution when venturing outdoors. Make sure to wear appropriate clothing. Dress in multiple layers, including a hat and gloves. Make sure outdoor animals have a warm, dry shelter, food, and unfrozen water. Young or smaller animals are at greatest risk for frostbite and hypothermia. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...SUNDAY THROUGH FRIDAY...
