This hazardous weather outlook is for extreme southwest Nebraska... northwest Kansas and east central Colorado. .DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT... Critical fire weather conditions are possible late this morning through about mid afternoon in northeast Colorado and adjacent areas of northwest Kansas due to gusty southwest winds and low humidity. Tonight, a strong cold front will move through the entire area between 8 PM and 11 PM MST (9 PM and midnight CST). Northwest winds gusting 40-60 mph will be possible with the front and for a few hours afterwards. Some blowing dust will be possible. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...THURSDAY THROUGH TUESDAY... On Thursday, strong to potentially damaging wind gusts are forecast. Northwest winds of 60 to 80 mph may occur during the morning through mid afternoon. Areas of blowing dust and localized dust storms may develop, resulting in brownout conditions and extremely hazardous travel.
