This hazardous weather outlook is for extreme southwest Nebraska... northwest Kansas and east central Colorado. .DAY ONE...THIS AFTERNOON AND TONIGHT... A Red Flag Warning remains in effect until 6 PM MDT, 7 PM CDT this afternoon for Greeley and Wichita counties. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...TUESDAY THROUGH MONDAY... Near critical fire weather conditions are possible in eastern Colorado during the afternoon hours on both Tuesday and Wednesday. Caution should be used if burning outdoors. Near critical to critical fire weather conditions are expected over much of the area on Thursday. Locations along and west of Highway 83 are most at-risk. Outdoor burning is highly discouraged. Strong northwest winds are expected on Friday. Gusts may exceed 60 MPH over much, or all, of the area. Dangerous travel conditions are possible, especially on east west oriented roads such as Interstate 70, where crosswinds are apt to be strongest.
