Strong and gusty southerly winds are forecast Sunday through Tuesday over the Tri-State area. There is a 50 to 80 percent chance of 40 mph wind gusts over east-central Colorado and a 20 to 50 percent chance of 40 mph wind gusts west of US Highway 83 in northwest Kansas and southwest Nebraska Sunday afternoon and evening. There is a 40 to 90 percent chance of 40 mph wind gusts Monday over all of the Tri-State area.
