This hazardous weather outlook is for extreme southwest Nebraska... northwest Kansas and east central Colorado. .DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT... A Heat Advisory is in effect today for Hitchcock and Red Willow counties in Nebraska and Decatur, Norton, Sheridan and Graham counties in Kansas, where air temperatures and heat indices will reach 103 to 108 degrees this afternoon. Isolated thunderstorms will develop after 3 PM MT in northeast Colorado from Yuma County southward into Kit Carson County, possibly moving into Dundy County and Cheyenne County, Kansas, this evening before dissipating by 9 PM MT. A wind gust up to 60 mph and some dry lightning strikes are the potential hazards. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...TUESDAY THROUGH SUNDAY... There is a marginal risk for severe thunderstorms late Tuesday night north of Highway 36 as a cluster of strong storms may potentially move out of the Nebraska panhandle overnight.
