WASHINGTON COUNTY HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK

  This hazardous weather outlook is for northeast and north central Colorado.  .DAY ONE...Today and Tonight  Scattered showers and storms are expected across the higher elevations this afternoon, before spreading across the I-25 corridor. Gusty outflow winds up to 40 mph are possible. For northern and northeastern Colorado, there will be mid-late afternoon showers and thunderstorms, with the possibility of an isolated strong to severe thunderstorm. Main threat will be gusty 50+ mph outflow winds and small hail.   .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Wednesday through Monday   A brief cooldown is expected on Wednesday as a shortwave and associated cold front pushes across the forecast area. Widespread showers and storms will be possible, with a conditional threat of storms becoming severe across the I-25 corridor and plains. There is also a chance of localized heavy rainfall.  High temperatures will return to the 90s on Friday, remaining there there through the forecast period. Scattered afternoon showers and storms are possible each day.    .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...  Spotter activation will not be needed today or tonight.
