WASHINGTON COUNTY HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK

  This hazardous weather outlook is for northeast and north central Colorado.  .DAY ONE...Today and Tonight  Mountain snow will become moderate to occasionally heavy this afternoon, resulting in difficult travel conditions. The foothills and lower elevations may also see a few inches locally under some snow bands this afternoon. Snow will taper off quickly in the evening, with strengthening winds in the higher mountain elevations leading to blowing snow and reducing visibilities at pass levels. Cold temperatures locally into the single digits expected tonight in the plains.  .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Sunday through Friday  A weather system is expected Sunday night into Tuesday, creating hazardous driving conditions for the mountains. Snow is possible for the plains on Monday evening, accumulating to a couple of inches at most.  Arctic air will arrive Tuesday through Thursday. Wednesday morning temperatures are expected to be in the negatives.  .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...  Spotter activation will not be needed today or tonight.
