YUMA COUNTY HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK

 This hazardous weather outlook is for extreme southwest Nebraska... northwest Kansas and east central Colorado.  .DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT...  Hazardous weather is not expected at this time.  .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...MONDAY THROUGH SATURDAY...  Dry, fluffy accumulating snow may create hazardous travel conditions over much of the area late Tuesday afternoon through Wednesday evening. While strong winds are not anticipated with this system, easterly to northerly winds at 10 to 20 mph may result in periods of blowing and drifting snow.  Dangerously cold wind chill temperatures as low as 15 degrees below zero are expected over much of the area during the late evening and overnight hours on Monday and Tuesday. Even colder wind chill readings, as low as 15 to 25 below zero, are possible Wednesday night and Thursday morning. Wind chill readings of this magnitude may quickly lead to frostbite and hypothermia in unprotected humans, pets and livestock, especially during prolonged or repeated exposure.  .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...  Spotter activation will not be needed.
