...HIGH WINDS ON THE EAST SLOPES OF THE FRONT RANGE THROUGH TONIGHT... This hazardous weather outlook is for northeast and north central Colorado. .DAY ONE...Today and Tonight Winds will increase over the mountains and foothills today. The strongest winds will be above timberline and on the east slopes of the Front Range this afternoon and tonight. Gusts of 50 to 75 mph will be common in these areas, with up to 90 mph in the most wind prone locations. The winds will occasionally spill onto the plains just east of the mountains, with gusts to around 75 mph around Boulder and Broomfield. Areas of light snow in the mountains will diminish, with accumulations less than two inches. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Monday through Saturday Fairly strong west winds can be expected over the mountains and higher foothills for the next several days. High wind criteria speeds are not expected, but gusts to 60 are a possible through the period especially on the ridges. Snow showers will develop in the mountains by Tuesday night and continue into next weekend. Significant snowfall accumulations are not expected at this time. .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...
