WASHINGTON COUNTY HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK

 ...VERY COLD THROUGH MONDAY NIGHT...  This hazardous weather outlook is for northeast and north central Colorado.  .DAY ONE...This Afternoon and Tonight  Light snow showers will continue this afternoon with additional accumulations of an inch or two possible in and near the mountains and foothills. The snow will decrease to flurries this evening and end tonight.  Temperatures will be steady or decreasing today. Lows tonight will mostly be from zero to 10 below at lower elevations and between 10 and 20 below in the mountains. Wind chill values could reach 20 to 30 below which could cause frostbite on exposed skin in as little as 15 minutes.  .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Sunday through Friday  Cold conditions will continue Sunday with temperatures below zero to begin the day. Temperatures slowly rise into the single digits and teens for the afternoon.  A reinforcing shot of arctic air moves in Sunday night and Monday keeping temperatures in the single digits above and below zero. Wind chill values on the plains may reach as low as 30 degrees below zero creating danger for people, livestock, and pets spending time outside. In addition to the bitterly cold conditions, a round of light snow is expected Sunday night and Monday morning.  .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...
