...SNOW AND WIND IN THE MOUNTAINS TODAY... This hazardous weather outlook is for northeast and north central Colorado. .DAY ONE...Today and Tonight Snow will continue in the higher mountains this afternoon. Additional accumulations will be 1 to 4 inches, with the heaviest amounts north of Berthoud Pass. North and Middle Parks will have an inch or two of snow, while the plains will have scattered light snow showers with little or no accumulation. Wind gusts of 30 to 40 mph will be common. The snow will end by early evening, except for lingering flurries on the mountain ridges. The winds will also decrease late this afternoon. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Sunday through Friday Light snow is expected for the mountains on Sunday and again Monday afternoon. Significant accumulations are not expected, however hazardous driving conditions may develop. Snow will return to the mountains by later next Friday, continuing into next weekend. .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT... Snowfall reports from spotters will be appreciated.
