WASHINGTON COUNTY HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK

 This hazardous weather outlook is for northeast and north central Colorado.  .DAY ONE...Today and Tonight  Snow decreases in intensity this afternoon, but the snow lingers into the evening. Roads are generally wet across the Denver metro area. Slippery conditions may be possible this evening when pavement temperatures fall after sunset.  Roads to the east of Denver across the plains are snow covered, making travel difficult. Road conditions may slightly improve later this afternoon and evening as snow intensity decreases, but don't expect large improvement in road conditions for the rest of today and tonight with very slow travel expected to continue.  .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Friday through Wednesday  Moderate to heavy snow is possible over the southern half of the forecast area Friday into Saturday morning as the storm system of the last few days is finally expected to push out of the area. Some of the plains could see up to 12 inches of snow mainly from Friday afternoon into Saturday morning.  Dry conditions with warming temperatures are expected Sunday and Monday with the next quick moving system to bring a chance of snow to the mountains and a slight chance of rain to the plains.  .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...  Spotter activation will not be needed but spotters are encouraged to report snowfall amounts.
