YUMA COUNTY HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK

 This hazardous weather outlook is for extreme southwest Nebraska... northwest Kansas and east central Colorado.  .DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT...  No hazardous weather is expected at this time.  .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...TUESDAY THROUGH SUNDAY...  Tuesday afternoon, locations mainly along and south of Highway 24 could see wind gusts around 50 to 60 MPH. These strong winds may cause blowing dust to reduce visibility, and near critical to critical fire weather conditions. A High Wind Watch and Fire Weather Watch have been issued for Tuesday afternoon.  Tuesday evening and overnight, there is a Marginal threat of severe thunderstorms that could produce winds in excess of 60 MPH and isolated quarter sized hail. Locations along and east of a line from Norton to Gove City, KS have the best chance to see these storms.  Widespread freezing temperatures are possible overnight Wednesday into Thursday morning.  .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...  Spotter activation is requested for Tuesday afternoon and evening.
