YUMA COUNTY HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK

 This hazardous weather outlook is for east central Colorado.  .DAY ONE...THIS AFTERNOON AND TONIGHT...  A period of near critical to locally critical fire weather is forecast across western portions of Kit Carson and Yuma counties this afternoon.  .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...MONDAY THROUGH SUNDAY...  Tuesday afternoon, locations along and south of Highway 24 could see wind gusts around 50 to 60 MPH. These strong winds could cause blowing dust to reduce visibility and near critical to critical fire weather conditions.  Widespread freezing temperatures are possible overnight Wednesday into Thursday morning.  .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...  Spotter activation may be requested Tuesday afternoon.
