YUMA COUNTY HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK

 This hazardous weather outlook is for extreme southwest Nebraska... northwest Kansas and east central Colorado.  .DAY ONE...THIS AFTERNOON AND TONIGHT...  Very high to extreme grassland fire danger is forecast across most of the area. A Red Flag Warning has been issued for Hitchcock through Logan counties and on east through early this evening.  .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...THURSDAY THROUGH WEDNESDAY...  Critical fire weather conditions are expected Thursday afternoon in Yuma County, Colorado, and Dundy County, Nebraska, due to the combination of low humidity and gusty southwest winds. Elevated fire weather conditions will occur in the remainder of the area.  Areas of blowing dust may develop Thursday afternoon.  Precipitation chances will begin across the area Friday night and continue through the weekend. Some locally heavier rainfall amounts will be possible Saturday night in the Colorado and Kansas border area, but confidence is low at this time.  .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...  Spotter activation will not be required.
