YUMA COUNTY HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK

 This hazardous weather outlook is for extreme southwest Nebraska... northwest Kansas and east central Colorado.  .DAY ONE...THIS AFTERNOON AND TONIGHT...  Critical fire weather conditions are occurring  over portions of northwest Kansas, southwest Nebraska into northeast Colorado, where a Red Flag warning is now in effect. Dry lightning, if present, could potentially start wildfires this evening in Colorado.  .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...THURSDAY THROUGH TUESDAY...  Gusty winds of 35-45 mph are forecast Thursday leading to near critical to critical fire conditions. A Red Flag Warning has been issued for western portions of the area.  .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...  Spotter activation is not anticipated. Spotters are however encouraged to report any fires to local dispatch.
