WASHINGTON COUNTY HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK

  This hazardous weather outlook is for northeast and north central Colorado.  .DAY ONE...Today and Tonight  Patchy fog will continue until late morning especially along the I-25 and I-76 corridors. Cooler temperatures continue today. Scattered showers and storms will develop in the higher elevations this afternoon. Small hail, heavy rain, and wind gusts to 35 mph will be possible under these storms. By early evening, scattered showers and storms will move along the I-25 corridor to parts of the Palmer Divide. Tonight, below normal lows and mostly cloudy skies will occur across the region.  .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Saturday through Thursday  Showers and thunderstorms are expected over the mountains on Saturday and Sunday, with scattered storms on the plains mostly in the afternoon and evening hours. Locally heavy rain is possible with the stronger storms, with a low threat of burn area flooding. A few severe storms with large hail and gusty winds are possible on the plains.  There will be a very gradual drying trend through the week, with thunderstorm activity trending towards a more typical summer pattern.  .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...  Spotter activation will not be needed today or tonight.
