WASHINGTON COUNTY HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK

 This hazardous weather outlook is for northeast and north central Colorado.  .DAY ONE...Today and Tonight  Hot and dry conditions will occur today. Expect above normal afternoon temperatures once again. Areas of smoke will also linger across the northwest areas in the mountains as well with hazy skies.  .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Sunday through Friday  Record to near record heat is expected Sunday as high temperatures soar near the 100 degree mark across the plains and I-25 Urban Corridor. A Heat Advisory will be in effect from 10 am to 8 pm Sunday, when extra precautions should be taken due to the heat.  Scattered high based showers and storms will develop in the mountains Sunday afternoon and spread east across the plains late in the afternoon and evening. Strong and gusty outflow winds are likely from the showers and storms.  Scattered afternoon and evening thunderstorms can be expected each day next week, with more widespread coverage in the mountains, and in all areas by Thursday. Some of these storms will be capable of producing locally heavy rainfall, especially toward the latter half of next week. Recent burn scars may be susceptible to flash flooding.  .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...  Spotter activation will not be needed today or tonight.
