YUMA COUNTY HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK

 This hazardous weather outlook is for extreme southwest Nebraska... northwest Kansas and east central Colorado.  .DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT...  A few thunderstorms are possible from around 4 PM MDT to 8 PM MDT for those along a line from Flagler to Cheyenne Wells and Sharon Springs. The primary hazard will be damaging wind gusts to 65 mph.  .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...TUESDAY THROUGH SUNDAY...  A prolonged period of much above normal temperatures over 100 degrees are forecast Tuesday through Thursday, mainly east of the Colorado Kansas border. Heat indices of 100 to 108 degrees are forecast along and east of Highway 25 Tuesday afternoon with 100 to 105 degrees Wednesday afternoon. On Thursday, heat indices around 100 degrees are forecast in Norton and Graham counties.  .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...  Spotter activation will not be needed.
