WASHINGTON COUNTY HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK

 This hazardous weather outlook is for northeast and north central Colorado.  .DAY ONE...This Afternoon and Tonight  Wildfire smoke gradually improves today as concentrations decrease and smoke pushes east. Temperatures are expected to be above normal with highs into the upper 90s across the plains and I-25 corridor. Critical fire weather conditions are expected across portions of the plains, therefore a Red Flag Warning has been issued and remains in effect from 1 PM this afternoon through 9 PM tonight.  .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Friday through Wednesday  Showers and thunderstorms are likely in the mountains Friday and Saturday, mainly in the afternoon hours. Scattered storms are expected on the plains. Localized heavy rain and gusty winds are possible with a few of the storms, but the threat of flooding or severe storms is low. It will be dry and hotter from Sunday into at least the middle of next week, with mid to upper 90s at lower elevations Sunday, and highs near 100 in Denver and a little warmer on the plains starting on Monday.  .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...  Spotter activation will not be needed today or tonight.
