WASHINGTON COUNTY HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK

 This hazardous weather outlook is for northeast and north central Colorado.  .DAY ONE...Today and Tonight  Scattered showers and a few thunderstorms will develop over the mountains this afternoon. Most of the showers will only produce light rainfall. There is a slight chance of a few storms with gusty winds over the far northeast corner of Colorado in the late afternoon and evening.  .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Friday through Wednesday  Beginning Friday, a near record breaking heat wave is expected across the region through this weekend and into Monday. High temperatures will likely reach the 98 to 105 degree mark across the urban corridor and plains.  Weak isolated thunderstorms and showers are possible across the high country each afternoon through Monday with little rainfall expected. Storms could produce lightning and gusty winds. A few gusty showers and storms will also be possible late Sunday and Monday across the plains as well. Increasing moisture and instability will bring cooler temperatures along with greater chances for accumulating rainfall beginning Tuesday.  .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...  Spotter activation will not be needed today or tonight.
