WASHINGTON COUNTY HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK

 This hazardous weather outlook is for northeast and north central Colorado.  .DAY ONE...Today and Tonight  A few thunderstorms are possible across Lincoln county this afternoon. Otherwise, drier conditions are expected across the region with highs in the mid 80s.  .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Wednesday through Monday  Strong to severe storms are possible across the eastern plains Wednesday afternoon and evening. The main threats from these storms will be large hail and damaging wind gusts although there could be a tornado or two. The area east of a line from Fort Morgan to Simla will have the greatest chance of severe storms.  A drier pattern sets in by Thursday and continues through the weekend and likely into early next week. Pockets of elevated fire weather conditions are expected over the higher terrain each day during the long term period. There will be near critical fire weather conditions in South Park Wednesday and especially Thursday. On Thursday, winds will gust above 30 mph with relative humidity possibly as low as 10 percent in South Park.  .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...  Spotter activation will not be needed today or tonight.
