WASHINGTON COUNTY HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK

 This hazardous weather outlook is for northeast and north central Colorado.  .DAY ONE...Today and Tonight  West winds will gust up to 40 mph this afternoon in the mountains and along the northern Colorado border. With dry humidity, this will create elevated fire danger. Late this afternoon and evening, a few weak showers are expected over the eastern plains with a slight chance for a thunderstorm.  .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Friday through Wednesday  Friday, scattered showers and thunderstorms are possible for the foothills and plains. Thunderstorms may produce wind gusts up to 45 mph and small hail. Some light snow is also possible across the mountains, mainly over the higher peaks from Friday into Saturday.  Warmer weather is expected on Sunday with perhaps an isolated shower or thunderstorm across the eastern plains. Windy conditions are forecast Sunday through most of next week as a series of storms track to the north of the forecast area.  .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...  Spotter activation will not be needed today or tonight.
